Rowville Men’s Shed had a request from the Rowville Primary School to construct and install an ‘Acknowledgment of Country’ sign near the school entrance.
With the support of our local Bunnings at Scoresby, who kindly provided the relevant materials, the project has now been completed.
Rowville Primary School
Rowville Men’s Shed had a request from the Rowville Primary School to renew the directional sign post in the school garden.
If you do not recognise the language, it is that of the First Peoples of this area and reads, North, South, East and West.
Winmall is North, Gurrin is South, Galen Bariem is East with Mummilam being West.
Street Library for Scoresby Village
The Rowville Men’s Shed, in consultation with Cr Nicole Seymour and Knox Council designed, constructed and installed the “Street Library” in the Scoresby Village precinct.
The library not only houses books but also chess and backgammon pieces for use on the near by games tables.
Carrington Primary School
Rowville Men’s Shed had a request from Carrington Primary School to design and build a chicken coop.
The chicken coop was then installed under the watchful eyes of students during their breaks.
